Fried dumplings: crunchy goodness to savour

The perfect snack: golden and irresistible fried dumpling

Ingredients for 4 people

  • 330 g of flour
  • 100 g of butter
  • 20 g of yeast
  • Olive oil for frying
  • salt

Method

  1. Dissolve the yeast in warm water. Make a well with the flour and add the soft butter and a pinch of salt. Add the yeast and knead until you obtain a homogeneous mixture. Let rise for 40 minutes.
  2. Roll out the dough to a thickness of 5 mm and cut out discs. Let it rest a little longer before frying.
  3. Heat plenty of oil and fry the dough discs until they are swollen and golden. Drain them and place them on absorbent paper.
  4. Serve the fried gnocco hot, opened and stuffed with cold cuts or cheeses to taste.
