Homemade Nocino: the liqueur that warms the soul
Artisanal Nocino: a dive into the Italian liqueur tradition

Ingredients for 1.5 l
- 30 fresh walnuts, with husks
- 1.5 l of 36° alcohol
- 500 g of sugar
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- Peel of 1/2 lemon
- Cloves
Method
- Clean the walnuts and place them in a mortar with alcohol, cinnamon, lemon peel and cloves. Macerate for 30 days, exposed to the sun and shaking occasionally.
- Filter the liquid obtained and prepare a syrup with water and sugar, adding the rest of the cinnamon and cloves.
- Add the cold syrup to the walnut liquid, mix well and bottle. Let the nocino rest for another 30 days.
