Romagna piadina: the triumph of taste in simplicity

Piadina with ham and squacquerone: an embrace of Romagna flavours

Ingredients for 4 people

  • 400 g of flour
  • 25 g of lard
  • 1 small sachet of yeast
  • salt
  • 200 g of Parma Ham
  • 100 g of Squacquerone di Romagna
  • Rocket

Method

  1. Mix the flour with lard, yeast, salt and enough water to obtain a smooth dough. Let rise covered for 30 minutes.
  2. Roll out the dough and cut into discs, cook them in a hot pan for 5-6 minutes.
  3. Spread the piadina with squacquerone, add the raw ham and the rocket, fold in half and serve hot.
